Cross Country Day

Room 16 participated in the Cross Country Day on the 15th May, 2014. Congratulations kids!! Everyone ran their little hearts out!  I am very proud of all of your efforts.  Here are some pictures from the day.

Reading to Self

Today, Room 16 looked at the importance of 'Reading to Self' and we spent some quiet time reading to ourselves. We explored the ways in which we can Read to Self and read for enjoyment. For me personally, reading is about being able to escape reality and lose myself in a book.

Room 16 are aiming to become competent independent readers who can carry out sustained silent reading. Hopefully by the end of the term, we will be able to last longer and longer reading to self.

After our silent reading session, we were very lucky to have Ezra, the Apple of our Eye, to share and read us one of his most cherished books "A Color of His Own" by Leo Lionni.
