Miss Weons Ist Drama session with our swop over class Room 12:)

                                             Miss Weon made a stage for us on the carpet.

                                                                  She used yellow tape.

                         Then we divided into groups of 2/3 children and discussed our mini play.

                                        So good to see you back in Room 12 Tai and Justin :)

                                 We enjoyed coming back on the mat to share our 'mini ' plays.

Helping a friend when they were doing the skateboarding- Leah
Helping Brandon when he was doing his drawing on the Tile- Erfan
Being a kind friend to Kingston and Caden and bringing them to the recovery room when they got hurt - Charlie
Helping someone who had no one to play with - Kingston
When someone was crying on the Friendship Chair  I went up to her and I asked her to play with me and she said Yes  - Shania
I helped a little girl who had fallen down and grazed her ankle and her knee- Georgia.
I helped Mrs. M.R, in the classroom before school- Hannah, Ella, Krisha, Selina.

We have had a wonderful Term 1 and look forward to Term 2 :) See you on Monday.

Autobiographies

Some children have completed and  presented such creative autobiographies. It is fantastic to learn so much more about the unique individuals in our class, you should all be very proud of your hard work and effort.

You all presented and spoke in clear, confident voices, working on your oral language goals for the term, well done.

Once again there was a huge array of apps and technology used - I-Movies, slideshows and Key Note.  We have a number of experts who are more than willing to share their knowledge with others, which is a great 'key competency' to have.

Enjoy the Easter Break and School holidays and see you again next term on Monday 20th April.

April Fools Day

APRIL FOOLS DAY

 Mrs Hodder and Mr.Groen tricked us!!!

 Mrs Hodder told us that we had a BIG problem!

 She said that we couldn't' get our grass cut because we didn't have any money, so you would have to cut the grass with our scissors and Mr Groen will show you how to do it."

Mr Groen said "Put your fingers on the grass like this and you can cut the grass above your fingers."

After we had been cutting for a while they all said "April Fool!"

The children all laughed. They had had a huge surprise!!!

Fly swat game

Miss Weon taught us a new Maths game to learn our basic facts.
It is called the FLY SWAT GAME :) 

We had to see who could say the answer the fastest.
We had to listen very carefully!

Lots of fun thinks Paige and Ayaan.

The answers were on big Buzzy bee shapes.

Ms Noakes has turned a day in the music room into a wonderful performance at the Whanau-Time assembly.

All the children were in the school hall were captivated by Rooms 16, 22 and 26's singing and playing.

Enviro Week

Today was our first afternoon of Enviro Art.

Hannah and Cheyanne are using the computer to do their
research on a Dr Seuss creature or animal.

                We had to research our Dr.Seuss books,our ipads and our computers to find out
about lots of Dr.Seuss characters and creatures.
Ella is going to do Horton the elephant from Horton here's a Who !

We are all so very busy doing lots of research!
Amelia is being the READER and Madi is being the WRITER !
WELL DONE GIRLS 

Arjun and Jason are reading Mrs.M.R. s mini book called
Fox in Socks.

EVERYONE SO BUSY thinking and recording.
TOMORROW we start sketching our creatures.  We cant wait!!

                                        Ella was the Apple of our Eye this week.
                                                   She is very talented and loves to paint.

She got this little island outfit when she went to Fiji islands.
So pretty Ella.
She also liked to play netball and collects lots of different interesting items
which she brought to share with the class   Thankyou ;)

Ella got the Tidy Kiwi this week.
WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF HER!!!
She cleaned the sand of the walls WITHOUT being asked!
